The Woman
On a dark and stormy night in 1997, Mia entered the world in the Chicago suburbs, destined to become a storyteller. On her journey to developing her craft, she found mentors at Dominican University, where she earned both her bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degree in teaching.
She currently edits for a business consulting firm, which allows her to raise her two cats, hunt cryptids, and talk to ghosts in her spare time. Her adventures outside of work allow her to fuel her stories with heart, humor, and horror. She is somehow able to find calm in the horror genre, the perfect juxtaposition to her bright personality.
The Witch
Mia’s preferred genre is horror, but her childhood roots are in fantasy. Combining the two allows her to explore the darkness in not only our world, but every other possible world. Readers will be tangled in the corruptive webs of power, religion, and magic – both literal and figurative – in nearly every story she tells.
The Legend
An Irish-American, Mia is greatly inspired by Irish history and mythology, and often draws from those stories to tell her own. Some of her current drafts include banshees and references to the Morrigan, as well as several Irish names.
